In our creative, student-led space, you can:
- Learn Adobe Creative Suite tools to help bring your projects to the next level and enhance your job skills
- Learn new AI tools and how to write ethically and effectively with them
- Work in a dedicated writing environment with digital tools like Adobe Creative Suite
- Work with a digital writing consultant on any stage of your multimodal writing project
- Get free printing for WRT classes
- Get free coffee
The studio is open to all students, faculty, and staff in the URI community. Printing is reserved for students enrolled in a WRT class.
Who are we?
Hallie Ivory
I graduated from URI in August with a degree in textiles merchandising and design with a focus in Historic Conservation. My hobbies include playing bass, drawing, and writing. I am excited to return to the studio and to help people create digital projects they are proud of.
Brissia Rodriguez Reyes
My name is Brissia Rodriguez Reyes, and I am a freshman majoring in Psychology at URI. When I’m not in the studio helping people with their projects, I like to play video games, read manga, or watch anime / k-dramas. Whenever I get a chance, I always like to grab a bite to eat.
Abby Lehr
Hi my name is Abriella, and I’m a psychology BS and sociology major. I love teaching and have a passion for helping people gain independence with skills. In my spare time, I do my own photo editing and collage and love brainstorming creative concepts.
Calder Puckett
I’m a professional and public writing student studying technical writing. I love being creative and expressing myself through writing, photography, music, and doodling.
Sienna Germershausen
Hi, my name is Sienna Germershausen. I am a marketing major. I started working at the Digital Writing and Research Studio in fall 2023. I am continually growing my digital writing skills and enjoy helping others so do, too. I love to dance, and I’m on the club dance team here at URI.
Where are we?
We are located in Roosevelt Hall, room 320.
Roosevelt Hall is also home to the Undergraduate Writing Center (Room 20). If your assignment/project contains only text (words on a page or screen), you should schedule a consultation with the Undergraduate Writing Center instead.
